Prior to founding Picofemto, Mr. Krishna was a Principal at Binary Investment Research LLC, a financial research and consulting firm that engaged in quantitative portfolio analytics, technology, and trading projects for broker-dealers and hedge funds. Previous to that, he was Senior Vice President of the Financial Engineering Group at the Bank of New York/ConvergEx, where he successfully spearheaded the patented Abraxas algorithm. Prior to this role, Mr. Krishna was the Head Quantitative Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., where he built and managed a team of Vice Presidents and Ph.D analysts in the Global Electronic, Algorithmic and Portfolio Trading Unit. At Bernstein, Mr. Krishna was responsible for developing the algorithmic trading platform and the entire suite of initial algorithms since the unit’s inception in 2002. He won the Bernstein Royal Reach Award in 2004 for his efforts. Prior to this, Srikant was an Artificial Intelligence Developer at RetailDNA (a technology affiliate of Priceline.com and a Walker Digital Company). He holds multiple patents for his work, and has published nearly a dozen peer-reviewed articles and whitepapers. Mr. Krishna graduated from The Johns Hopkins University, where he was a simultaneous recipient of the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Award and the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Award. Later, he received an M.S. in Biophysics from Cornell and an M.S. in Computer Science at Columbia University, with awards for teaching excellence and fully-funded scholarships.
