Dr. Perez Sanchez has a Physics background and is an experienced researcher in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He finished his Doctorate in 2008 at the Complutense University of Madrid, in Spain. Prior to that he obtained a Diploma in High Energy Physics from the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy, and his BSc in Physics from the University of Havana, in Havana, Cuba.
He has had the opportunity to work at world-class research institutions, such as the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), in Paris, France; the National Center for Cardiovascular Research in Madrid, Spain; and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
His main fields of expertise are image data acquisition, reconstruction, processing and analysis, and numerical simulations. He is also an accomplished software developer and has developed software using a variety of languages (C#, Python, R, Clojure, C++, C). He has experience in diffusion MRI and MR pulse sequence programming. His research and development efforts are currently focused on the application of advanced data processing and analysis techniques to imaging and medicine.
